Default Re: 1979 Chevrolet Scottsdale 454 Ballpark Price?

Well I pulled the trigger on the pickup. I couldn't pass up the deal. Turns out after a good long look and discussion with the owner, it is not the original 454 but rather a GM crate motor that was installed about 10 years ago and according to his very detailed records only has about 15,000 miles on it. Also the truck has about 3 year old Mickey Thompson Classic II's with good rubber on it as well. I gave the truck a thorough search and there are only two problem rust spots (which can be easily cut out and new metal welded in) on the whole truck. The frame is super solid, and the 4 wheel drive works like a charm. I will try to post some pictures for you guys tomorrow.

------Congrats,,,If Im not mistaken those Mickey Thompsons were made by Alcoa for M/T. They should be forged wheels, correct??? Best aftermarket wheels you can buy.......Bill S
