I just saw this on the news. What a horrible and tragic way to start the games.I feel terrible for his family who were likely there to watch him compete.

My heart and prayers go out to this lad's family and friends..

In question may be the safety of this 'too fast' Luge track and if they should continue as scheduled when the games open tomorrow?.

ABC showed it but warned first. I did not need to see that. Tragic. IMO the games should have been canceled for the rest of the day out of respect for him, his country, and his family. They should also not run this event until this wall is fixed. Today we witnessed the loss of another human being, time to mourn, then move on.

My local News broadcast said that they would only show it ONE TIME out of respect and I gotta tell 'ya........that was absolutely brutal. Those fellows are really hitting some fantastic speeds through that course.

I was thinking it was a bobsled they were talking about. That thing is the size of a cafeteria tray. Very dangerous.
