While many 69 Yenko's may have had the adapter, I believe it is common on any car shipped with a Muncie and a 4:10 rear. They show up on epay from time to time.

Question, so my 69 Z with a BV rear (4:10 ratio) would have this adapter as well? I dont recall seeing it - i thought they changed the internal plastic gear for the correct speedo reading?

I recall Ed Cuneen having those reducers listed in his copo book along with part numbers and ratios. I loaned my book out and it never came back.

Can't remember the criteria for when a car got the adapter.

Jim, excellent info - thank you for posting this. Ill give them a call to see what they have avail. Im still confused what triggers the use of them , especially if the 69Z's had 4:10 gears and M21 and no adapter used, vs the yenko cars had them and they run the same gears, tires and trans. Maybe it was used if they went to TT wheels vs the standard YH wheels? Not sure if there was any diff - should not be thought???
