Can you post pictures of the documentation? That would be really cool to see!

I believe that Joel's packages changed throughout the years from the late 69s into some of the conversions he did later in the 70's. Just from a few cars that I have seen. But appaently the Phase III cars were the most bad-ass !!! But I'm sure a 70 Phase II motor had to be pretty awesome since the factory LS-6 had 450 HP stock...Does it have a horsepower rating on the paperwork?
So have you had any luck in your search for a donor car to put your cool find into ? There are people on this site that might know where to find a nice body. I'd love to see/hear that motor fire up again..just knowing it was built by Motion...I never saw a '70' Chevelle Motion car...What else did the car get? Did it have sidepipes?? Good Luck with it !!! |

Not saying there couldn't be one, but Joel has said you either had a regular Motion car or the mods went straight to Phase III. There was no in-between. No Phase I or Phase II.
I think there is a green one in the Otis Chandler book. |

But I know of a 70 Camaro that was Phase III converted in 1976 that did not have the same parts on it that some of the earlier Phase III cars had. Unfortunately I do not have a copy , but I did see the actual Motion reciepts and list of parts. It did not have the same intake and 3 barrel carb that many of the earlier cars had. It had typical finned aluminum Motion valve covers, but no Motion emblems on them. This is why I believe that his packages changed somewhat throughout the years with technology/ parts availabilty, etc. |
