That's when Pro Stock was worth watching; real factory bodied cars and manual transmissions. Today everything's automatics and bodies that barely resemble their factory offerings all built on tube chassis. I still enjoy drag racing but, to me, the cars of the '60's and '70's are what thrilled me.

Thats right. I remember when it was a Super Stocker. I even think it was a 350 or 325 horse BB when new? I have the magazine article somewhere. Didn't that Baker guy work for Bill Thomas? I may be all wrong here. I am tacking this old brain at this point.

That is why I watch Super Stock & Stock. Most of them are real cars.

Stock, Super Stock and Comp Eliminator are the best classes to watch IMO.
