Glenn will be getting there Monday with four cars we are selling...3 at BJ and 1 at Russo. I'll be flying in early Thursday morning and then we're heading back home Sunday.

Charley, we've got a couple running on Thursday as well...lots 688 and 714. It's nerve-wracking for sure! Good luck to ya...hopefully we'll all be in the mood to party like rock stars Thursday night!

I would be more then willing to place a bid on your behalf. Just go ahead and get your bidders number. Being the nice guy that I am, I would also be willing to drive it directly to your door.

I definitely hope to attend the auctions if my schedule permits. Anyone have info on this silver 1970 W-30 4spd ragtop(Lot 1269)? Is it legitimate or a clone? They all have broadcast cards these days since now they are reproduced. The silver car does not have much in the way of any other definitive proof as to its provenance other than stories. The other 1970 Aegean Aqua ragtop (Lot 1278) went through Russo years back with no paperwork whatsoever and a fresh resto. I believe it moved for around 200K then. It has been for sale for quite some time now and was at the show in Chicago. The lime green 71 (lot 1244) was on E-bay but NO paperwork either at the time but now I see it has a partial card… it’s a nice looking car though. Paul any info on these three?

Thanks RM

In case anyone is interested in owning a real '61 Super Sport, check out lot # 743.1 on Thursday. I documented this car back in '92 and it is absolutely legit. This is the first real one that I'm aware of that will be presented at a major auction so it will be very interesting to see what it brings. The description states it has the 350hp motor but it actually has the 1x4 340hp 348. (probably just a mistake).

RM,

Don't know the 2 W30s personally, but on the silver car, if those pictures are not old, there parts missing (arm rest, radio knob?), and the door panel looks pretty bad. Repop wheels too.

Doesn't help you with it's pedigree, but maybe it's quality. Couldn't get the engine picture to load bigger.....?

On the Aegean Aqua car, nothing really big other than the same incorrect wheels, and I'm pretty sure the over-flow bottle was not available in 1970. I think it was introduced as a service part sometime in 1971, and then available from the factory in 1972. Again, no big deal.

Would love to have a Aegean Aqua ram air Olds. Oh and 4-speed too.

I will be looking at these cars when I get there on Tuesday. The lime green car is not a real W30. Its been on the market several times over the years. I knew one of the owners from late 90's. He knew the history of the cloning.

Overflow tank became available in March 1971.

As for the 70 W30 ragtops, the silver one looks like a questionable restoration. I dont know the agean agua car.
