Pete, that line of thinking has occurred to me too, although with other brands. I really don't know - all I know is the number is published in the "Chevrolet SS Muscle Car Red Book," and I used my criticism of the M22 Biscayne number based on my understanding of how numbers work in Chevyland.

Slightly on/off topic:

Does anyone know what headliner was originally in the '69 Bel Air or Biscaynes? Was it the Bedford or Basketweave?

No one seems to be able to answer this for me.

Thanks.

I can answer that when I get home, unless someone else beats me to it!

Thanks! I think the Basketweave was used on the Bel Air and Biscayne, and the Bedford was used in Impalas & Caprices, but just wanted to make sure.

Around 80-82 I lived in Topeka KS in the seabrook area there was a very clean blue 67 427 I had to of knocked on the door and asked if they would sell it a hundread times or so. I was in my early teens looking for my first ride, ended up with a 71 R/T Challenger alot of real cool cars in that area then... as posted earlier I believe it had a Van-T on it also.

Brian,
Does Joe still have one of the L72/M22 Biscaynes that he is restoring?
