So according to the ad, there are 2 discrepencies. Davis vs Evans and M20 vs M22. I contacted the seller with 2 questions and am awaiting an answer. Most drag cars had the orig. drivetrains replaced very early in life. So...HVYCHVY is it your opinion that this is a 7K mile restore or a fake?

I spoke to Larry numerous times about this car when he first got it...he had lots of L78 Nova questions. I never really understood the condition of the car compared to the stated low mileage. He was a good "car guy" and really loved the hobby...

It would have been fun to have met him in person. He is probably watching the auction from a cloud

Agreed...rotted to beat all hell...and a "copy" of the orig title transfer, especially if the dealership is not Evans. Now M22 matching was M20 when Larry purchased??? HVYCHVY you saw the car prior to restoration. In your opinion was it a survivor or a rolled over odometer that rested in the weeds for several years?

You can't go by the buildsheet M20 code...that was strictly a code to tell the Fisher Body guys they had to cut a hole in the floor. It was the same for M20, 21 or 22.....I didn't re-read the whole thread...perhaps there was some other info listed about the original tranny...chances are the car came with an M20...there were only about 600 M22 Novas built in 1969.
