I just bought a 1969 Nova that was built Feb 1969 (02C) and it looks like it might have a later build sequence than this March 1969 built Nova.

Interesting
My documented 69 Nova SS (build date 03D) is 63,205 sequence numbers higher than this 03A sequence number.....Can this be correct?

Any cowl tag...production number gurus care to comment ?

This car sure does look nice. The reserve isn't met yet at 35k. I would think on a car of this quality it would at least have the correct trim on the rear interior panels. The one picture with the driver side seat up shows the trim missing

I am not knocking the car for this it is nice! I am just pointing this out for a potential buyer. I know I would be up set!

[/ QUOTE ]Obviously the restorer does not know what a nova is suppose to look like. I see that more and more where the shop can fix sheetmetal and paint real well but does not really know what these cars are suppose to look like and how a door should sound when it is opened and closed. Its always the last 5 minutes of the job that is the most important. JMO

Sammy, you are right on the money....seems there are very few technically correct cars being built, except for those that come from a very select group of resto folks. I would rather see vehicles, regardless of make or model, presented for what they really are instead of what we typically see. The lack in attention to detail always makes me wonder about the things I can't see...
