The cast date would be the second week of June (6 & 2 dots) which lines up with the assembly date. The sequence number of the VIN should be around the end of January, therefore it could only be a '65 Chevelle. It's odd for a trans to be built in June and not installed until Jan of the next year, but that's what the numbers say. Plus, that style 429 rear housing was only used into Feb. '65.
In '64 & '65 Baltimore only built trucks and Chevelles (no full size). When I said "Passenger", I only meant to distinguish between Corvette. (forget the 409 reference - not at Baltimore - my mistake) Verne ![]() |
