Those Big M/T tires .....are going on my 1976 Astre (Vega) wagon.

[/ QUOTE ]

You mean to tell me there's still a Vega-bodied car in Western NY that hasn't totally disintegrated from rust?

Cool Nova....thanks for the story and the pics

Here is the 1973 LS4-454 I swapped in to the Nova. It was a Factory Replacement motor and has Very low miles. We pulled the pan and it was excellant! Also when i yanked out the Q-jet intake,It looked perfect almost New inside ! So as of now it is all GM. And yes it has POWER!

Here is how it looks after it was painted , I did put a GM performance 502 bigblock short aluminum waterpump. With the minimal modification's that were done, This motor is a Torque Monster! Im still running the Factory GM cam and it has nice idle to it, Not lumpy but satisfying. Also im running Swap Headers 1 -3/4 primaries They went in with out a hitch! For a clutch,I got a Centerforce Dual Friction Kit and a Jeg's Flywheel. This car will be driven. Im bringing Day2 Back to Buffalo!

Here is my 1976 Pontiac Astre Safari Wagon- It isnt rotted out. I got this car on trade. Car is all original, Has the big Rearend with posi, Also it is a 4 cylinder engine with 5 speed, Was thinking of swappin a V8 in it, But it runs really good and should be Great on Gas.
