Are you saying the Moser rear end was a Ford 9" or was it 12 bolt with the big ford ends? Still wondering if an original would add more value to the car if doing a clone?

If it's not the original rear to the car, then go a modern rear...I was thinking a good, beefier bolt in replacement 12 bolt was available for right at $2k from either Strange or Moser.

[/ QUOTE ] But they eat more HP than a comparable 12bolt combo...if you don't need the extra beef, you'll be ahead of the game by sticking with the 12 bolt. Again, I think you can pick up a brand new, ready to rock, and beefier 12 bolt for around $2k...if you pick up the BV rear at that same price, you're gonna have nearly that much *more* into the original rear to get it whooped into shape. And, it's still not gonna be the original rear to the car, no matter how pretty that BV stamp is...! |
