Make sure you're sitting down to hear about this fine treasure. My first car was a 'Vette.
1977 Chevy Chevette - Rally 1.6 It wasn't the ordinary Chevette... it was a Rally! The Rally came with the fierce 1.6-liter 4-cylinder instead of the mundane 1.4. It had the special gauge package that even included a tachometer. Dark navy metallic blue and gold rocker panel stripes. I had geniune imitation fuzzy sheepskin seat covers, a big ol' power booster equalizer / amp (you know... the $20 version you'd buy at a swap meet), 6 x 9 speakers in the hatchback area that were just stuck to the metal with the magnets on the back of the cones, and the coolest part of all..... Genuine 4-lug Cragar S/S rims with white-letter tires! 50-series tires in the back and 60-series tires in the front. Also, I quickly realized how convenient it was that the back seat folded down. ![]() ![]()
