It was just a random owners manual I decided to page through one day. I assume that picture is in all editions.

I always understood that F40 was the heavy duty suspension, and F41 was more of a sport suspension, because it had the sway bars. I don't have any of my literature handy right now though.

I realize Colvin's book has been brought up, but don't believe anyone noted the notes. Passenger 425 horse engines are listed along with how many of each. ID suffix, "11 engines built, no record of install".
IK suffix, "6 engines built, no record of install". Guess one is for stick, one for auto. So, there were at least 17 L72 engines made. Not so hard to believe some (or at least one) was installed per an engineers directions. Too bad JohnZ didn't keep any paperwork on that one. BTW, what date was the L72 option canceled for the 67 model year?

There's a collector out this way that has two of these in his collection, both are convertibles. I wasn't real familiar with this model but saw them both and was given a little education about them. Really nice cars and I remember the unique badging with limited identification other than SS427 and I know one of them had the domed hood with simulated intakes. There's a gentleman much more familiar with these 2 cars than I that visits this board on occasion that might add more. Not sure but I think one was a '67 and the other a '68. Neat cars.
