The VIN stamp on the trans does not match the one on the engine. The font on the 'O' is different and they should be the same. One of them if not both is not original.

I compared the VIN stamp and Tonowanda stamp to our "real" L78 cars and there is a noticeable difference....

The B in the stamp means the transmission was an M21. (A = M20, C = M22)
