Thanks guys ! I hope you don´t get the impression that I´m trying to show off or something. I just want to give you some insight in the history of American musclecars in Sweden. Just what Janne is writing a book about. Take a look ! www.scandinavianmusclecars.com
This is where the "Kjelle Power"-story started, at Tri-City-Dragway in 1967. He was a young student who got interested in dragracing and started writing articles in Start & Speed magazine. The pic is scanned from the Power Magazine Big Meet Special that I bought the other day. ![]() ![]()

I don´t think so Mike. Kjelle started the World Street Finals in the early 90´s after having arranged the Street Finals here in Sweden for some years. He thought that the guys from the nordic countries would be competitive even in the U.S. and therefore he shipped I think it was ten cars to the U.S. He rented the track but after a couple of years, when the ball was rolling, Speed World wanted to take the event away from him. I believe he continued at another track in Florida maybe one or two years, but then he stopped. I have the video from the 1993 event where Mike Moran won the fastest class in a red 1966 Chevy II over "Cronkan" from Sweden.
