#21 For some reason my second timeslip only had 1/8th mile printed. But they said the displays showed a 12.4x. My first run was a 12.5. I knew something wasn't right - and ended up finding a broken pushrod... oops lol. Thanks to the many people who helped me troubleshoot - you guys are awesome!
Luckily nothing else was damaged and the car was made drivable thanks to a $1.99 replacement from Autozone haha. I will replace them all now that the car is home. Although we only made two passes, I still had a great time going down the track, and a great time with everyone at SCR12!!! ![]()

Mark, I think you may have received one of the best compliments of the weekend when Mr. Barnhart told your Dad that you "passed the mechanic test".
That is one of the baddest cars that ever hits the track at the Reunions. A HUGE Thank You to both you and your Dad for bringing it and thrashing it for our enjoyment. Glad it wasn't anything major, ............. like a broken axle! ![]()

[/ QUOTE ] That indeed is a compliment. ![]() Mark, hats off to you for not being afraid to jump in and work on the car, asking questions if not for sure what to do. All this in front of your peers. Trust me, it will pay off and you will have a blast along the way. Just ask Rob how far he has come from his first drag race. Back then he would call me, now you know who asks who. We still chuckle about how we took a 10sec Chevelle and ran 12s. And Mark, SR, you are to be commended as well for allowing JR to tinker with such a rare and valuable piece. Kind of neat watching the young'uns mess with the old iron, right?
