I CHECKED ON THE TOP OF THE TRANSMISSION AND THE VIN IS STAMPED THERE ON THE PASSANGER SIDE IS THAT A COMMON PLACE ON THE NOVA,S I KNOW ON THE LA BUILT CAMAROS THAT IS WHERE THEY ARE STAMPED
