So far, in my research on the subject has shown that stripe-color paint was painted in a section as shown in the image I've posted here (69 Z11 03B)...as well as paint all the way across the cowl between the pinch weld and from the base of the windshield to the top front edge of the firewall. So far, there hasn't been a rhyme or reason to LOS or NOR...can somebody chime in?

Tony probably has a good point here. I sent firez a picture of an 02E car that was built 15 cars before mine. White stripes but lemans blue across the cowl like the car Tony has posted. My car, with black stripes was not like this.

This Olympic Gold car is a NORWOOD car: Tony Huntimer Camaro Performers Magazine [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] then the Z11 you pictured is a Norwood car as well? I have owned over a dozen Z10/Z11's and I have never seen a Norwood car done any way other than your picture above. have not ever seen a Van Nuys car without the seam to seam cowl covered with stripe color, but then I have not looked at every single car ever built ![]()

These are some shots from an 04D LOS special paint 68Z that was at Carlisle this year. Original paint and most components still on the car. Looks to me like the area under the cowl is all black gloss same as stripe color on this one as well.
Hope it helps. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Which after looking at your profile, turns out as being yours. Have a few others in my unrestored archive discs, will try and dig them up for you.

![]() [/ QUOTE ] So from our collective eyes and brains...have we established that the image above shows the paint format has only been found on NOR cars so far? And the larger full-cowl paint format has been found on NOR and LOS cars? Thanks, Tony Huntimer Camaro Performers Magazine |

"So from our collective eyes and brains...have we established that the image above shows the paint format has only been found on NOR cars so far?"
correct " And the larger full-cowl paint format has been found on NOR and LOS cars? I would restate that to say: And the larger full-cowl paint format has been found on all LOS and some NOR cars.
