I wonder why some of these pics show the stripe colour all the way across the cowl and others as mine is were masked off and done like the one in Jerrys book on page 75. Mine was this way before restored,a tape line and then body colour beyond that out to the fender.

MINE IS GLOSS BLACK ALL THE WAY TO THE FENDERS JUST LIKE THE PICTURES OF THE Z/11 CAR THAT IS PAINTED ORANGE ALL THE WAY ACROSS ? I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS IN CORRECT TO GO ALL THE WAY TO THE FENDER BUT YOU CAN TELL IT HAS NOT BEEN TOUCHED ON MY CAR !

So far, in my research on the subject has shown that stripe-color paint was painted in a section as shown in the image I've posted here (69 Z11 03B)...as well as paint all the way across the cowl between the pinch weld and from the base of the windshield to the top front edge of the firewall. So far, there hasn't been a rhyme or reason to LOS or NOR...can somebody chime in?

SO ON A BLACK STRIPE CAR THE COWL AND FIREWALL WILL ALL BLEND TOGETHER ? [/ QUOTE ] no, because the firewall paint is NOT the same gloss as the stripe paint, the top of the cowl will appear shinier the firewall as the rest of the engine compartment & firewall paint is not the same as the gloss black they used on the exterior of the cars ...
