Thanks everyone.
Sorry to hear of your loss Albert. This have been a very strange few days. Can't really describe it, but I definitely feel something is missing from my life. My mom never really understood my obsession with cars. I remember when I brought my '69 SS home, she just kind of shook her head, probably wondering why I didn't buy the Vega or Beetle she wanted my to buy. She knew I had the knowledge to correct the mechanical and appearance issues the car had, but she knew only too well I could not fix the ripped headliner. So one day she took needle and thread and sewed up my ripped headliner. Looked pretty darn good too. I'm not sure if my mom realizes this or not, but her stay at the hospital and her death did present a gift to me. My sister is 7 years older than I am, and we never really bonded in all of these years. So for the past 5 weeks, we have spent lots of time together with hospital visits and what not. I believe we both realized that we really like hanging out with each other. I suppose we're bonding now. Sure hope I can figure out a way to keep it going. Thanks for posting this up Bruce. I'll give you a call when I'm relaxing at the Outer Banks. ![]()
