Brian, I'd love to know what the front and rear tires are on that Hemi. (VERY COOL car by the way) Exceptional preservation of history.
Thanks
Verne

http://www.hurstracingtires.com/1093440.html Verne, I'm pretty sure those are Hurst Racing Tires, front and rear. They are re-caps made and sold by the link I posted here. I do like those front tires with the ribs spaced out and I'm gonna buy a set of those soon for something here.

You are correct, the fronts are from Kelsey, the rears are custom from Hurst. The car was sold new at Ratcliff Motor Sales in Chillicothe Ohio. They received two cars. A great deal of the resto was done by Akron Arlen Vanke one of the most famous Chrysler race drivers ever. The motor is the original 64 race Hemi. It has the aluminum hood, scoop, fenders, front bumper brackets. doors, hinges, window mechanisms etc. Those are the original front American real mags to the car. It still has the very unusual 64 only race headers under the car. There are many trick items that Dodge did to these cars like a special rear Corning back glass, special shock towers, move the battery to the back etc. The car came with Chrysler Historical documents, and a letter from Galen Govier about the car, and a lot of pictures from the restoration. I had asked for the help of such notable Hemi owners as Don Fezell and had factory race car collector Tommy Lee Austin inspect the car for me. It is in the 64 Race Hemi Registry that Darrell Davis keeps. It was the ONLY 64 Hemi S/S car to ever have a heater. I have most of the parts, but it was restored without the heater. Sort of an odd option. They built 55 Dodge S/S cars in 1964..BKH

As usual, had a great time at the Gibb show. A lot of neat cars, but as always, the best part, spending time with friends.

Not much more to say about Brian's Hemi, except WOW!

Afte getting my trailer out of the bunker at the La Harpe golf course, (thanks everyone for the help) Diana and I were off to Michigan for the Medowbrook Concours, arriving at 5:30am, just enough time to shower/shave and then off to the show field. Lots of cool cars, including Mark Hassett's Yenko Chevelle. Ran into a few old friends, and met several new ones. The best part, I met a gentleman who has put me in touch with Bob Hamilton, JR, whose dad owned/raced Red Alert.
