that some guy is Joel "Mr Motion" Rosen. he is the owner of MOTION Performance and the builder of BALDWIN/MOTION SUPERCARS. Nothing fishy about him and he has the documentation to verify whether the car is a real deal or a phony. if the owner had the documentation it would be worth a great deal to someone looking for a BALDWIN MOTION with its pedigree. and i believe the price is 2500 for the vehicle research.but having a MOTION CAMARO in my eyes is priceless.

Has anyone seen the documentation. My understanding is that he asks for pics of accessories still on the car, holes and welding used for motion modifications and such. Please elaborate.... If he has documentation (assuming it is based on the VIN) all he would need is a VIN; is that what he needs to verify.

he needs vin and cowl tag info. if he built the car he has the vin and cowl tag in his files. im sure that there are other questions he will ask also. do a title search and get the original owners name with vin and cowltag info and call him. it is a non refundable transaction 2500.00 either way whether it is or isnt

im not the definitive source on this but when i talked with him awhile back on a car i was looking at he asked me what info i had. i told him about the car what i knew. he said get the vin and tag info. do research of your own. such as title search, get any documents of the car that you can.he will ask questions about things he did to the car to see if they are still there. hes a man of his word. he wont piddle around he will tell you whether its real or bogus and if someone steps on his toes (selling repop parts, selling clones as originals or making up or falsifying documents) he has no problem introducing the perp to his attorney. he a great guy. the few times i talked to him he was blunt and to the point. if he says hes got the proof if the cars a real deal or not you can bet your rear he is telling the truth. he does have the documents. 2500 is his price reguardless of the outcome.

I wonder how much info he needs to find his paperwork.I went to look at a car that came with all the original paperwork{it was an unrestored original} and I got a copy of all the papers{over 10 grand in work}but none of the papres had a VIN or plate number.Basically he wrote up jobs to build entire cars on invoices that looked a lot like you would get for a regualr repair job at a local tire store.Instead of saying things like wheel alignmenr and mount and balance like an order from your local goodyear shop would say,the order would say things like install 550hp pahse3 engine-$2500.Install 4.10 ring and pinion $150,install superbite suspention $200.and so on.Had the customer's mane and a brief description of the car like "Blue Camaro" or something.I wonder how he documants these cars.

I couldnt begin to guess. theres so many different stories flying around I guess your best bet is to call Joel yourself and go from there. I can tell you it helps to know the original owners name. Basically, all he is telling you"documents" is yes or no it is a MOTION car, the work was done here and that he verifies it. some say its all off of his memory but i dont buy that. I feel he has nothing to lose either way whether he verifies the car or not and few people may argue this but, I feel the extent of how much he tells a person is in how hes approached. For instance, if you call him up and have a cocky attitude and say "I found a motion car that you need to verify"hes gonna treat you the same way.the few times I had spoke with him hes a very nice guy but if you try to feed him b.s. with a slingshot and be the "know all" your results will be a waste of time. Keep in mind he probably has several calls daily asking for verification. Just make sure you know as much as possible about your car in question such as which 454 it came with the color, what options it had but what i think is most important is the original owner. Remember, I am not the most knowledgeable on this I'm just trying to help a little.
