Are you talking about the hood stop bolts that are designed to keep the hood from going through the windshield in a front end accident?
They are about 2 1/2" long and are bolted into the top of the cowl. |

I am talking about the little bracket that look like rabbit ears and are attached in the center top of the firewall and they stick out to touch the hood when it is closed on the chevelle.I will take a pic tonight at the car cruz PJ |

Ok, that probably is for the radio equipped cars. It helps ground the hood to the car to help eliminate static.
Pretty sure it's with AM and AM/FM radios as well as cars equipped with 8 tracks. |
