To be honest, I think that my distributor is a factory restamp. The area that has the numbers is missing the step for the cap, but the rest of the housing has the step.

Now I know that there were some factory engine restamps, so does my theory sound plausible for this distributor?
I've never seen a restamp nowadays that has the correct fonts like this one.

I found another distributor that's closer to the date I need, so I will put the August of 68 one up on the shelf for any future projects.

Chevelleless after 46 years......but we did find a low mileage, six speed, silver 2005 Corvette. It will just have to do for now.
