After a bit of searching I found pictures of the 409 covers without the bowtie on them. The site also said the outside rear view mirrors on some of the Canadian built cars didn't have the bowtie either.
![]() With that info in mind, I'm thinking even more that these caps are from north of the border. The comment about the 409 covers and finding the pictures of them was just another piece of the puzzle. Thanks for that info Verne. ![]()

Canadian Pontiac hub cap. 409 valve covers in canadian pontiacs had no embossing and were "super flame" decals on the air cleaners instead of "turbo fire"
