I beleive you are correct... I think what I need is an earlier distributor like the other guys have said or a July dated 1112000. So I am moving on to a looking for a 1112000 .

I am getting conflicting information on what distributor... some have said use a 1112000 and many have said that the 2000 dist was not used in any 69 copo cars. Anyone know with any degree of certainty? I think I will post this as a seperate thread. Still looking for a 499 now
