Ventura was only asking 267k for the car?? It must be a pile or have alot of issue's because that is give away money for a real Hemi Daytona and a 4 speed to boot! I would bet it brings more than that at the IRS auction.

according to the HMN blog, the IRS sale was stopped:
"June 23, 2009 at 12:38 pm Just so you all know, the sale was stopped by court order. It is hard to seize and sell a car the tax payer does not and has never owned. We will see what the outcome is in court."

The one at the Mecum auction is probably mine? It never sold at the Mecum auction and I bought it with Colin's help several months later from Dana. It is now being re-restored properly by Midwest Muscle car at a considerable and never ending expense. Dana bought it at BJ along with another Daytona from Bill Wieman

[/ QUOTE ] That means he was just flipping the title, as many do, so the IRS made a mistake. They never checked "ownership". OF course, that just means they'll be more interested in finding something else they can attach themselves to. ![]() |
