I'm guessing there were zero A12 mod tops. [/ QUOTE ] Yes and no. There were no Mod Top Road Runners. However, it was possible to order a Super Bee with the floral vinyl top, but these were not marketed as Mod Tops and don't carry any badges signifying this. I believe one A12 Bee is known to exist with this top, but can't say for sure. Certainly there's one Bee I've seen with this top, which is the same top the Road Runner in the auction has. Seller didn't claim it was an A12 car, but he claimed it was a Mod Top sunroof car, and both are BS. |

I'd like to see that. Someone should start a mod top or other crazy MOPAR top post. I'd love to see more of all makes & models that still exist.
This one is pretty impressive. http://www.stevenjuliano.com/cars_69modtop.htm |

I believe there's a black 'Cuda with a 440 or Hemi with a Mod Top that's being restored too . . . or maybe that's the same car?

If you read his ad he clearly states that he always wanted a A12 car so he made it into one.

I was taken in by this one too. The N code immediately showed that it was never an A12 car, and if you read the entire description, the seller certainly does a great job of tap-dancing around what it really is.
Factory Sunroof in a 69 Runner? I think not. Mod Top? Maybe, but it isn't this one. I am the first to "never say never" when it comes to Mopars, but in this case, the car is a cool replica of what probably never was. Bashton |
