Car Guy Rule #1 - Never throw anything away, there is always someone who will buy it...especially if it is no longer produced or vintage!

I would have never thought in a Million years that anyone would want them. I guess I thought the same about my orig XT wheels that I tossed back in 1982.

i know what you mean jonesy. i had a pair of old aluminum valve covers that said pro stock in the center and a pair of appliance and fenton super shark wheels.i put them out for spring clean up 3 yrs ago and watched two guys fist fight for them. i never would have thought anyone would want them as they were all pitted. but the guy that ended up with them had the wheels rechromed and cleaned up the valve covers. good for him

Thought Id take a pic and post....These have been on the car for many years...I'm not sure what brand they ever were....I always thought these were fabricated...I had them repaired and re-jet coated to try and save them a number of years ago and I have not barely driven the car since....
They really look and sound cool, but before you install them though, do realize they really do not like speed bumps... And most important of all!!!...tell your wife/girlfriend to ALWAYS wear long pants when going cruising with you....!!! Take that from experience!! But don't get me wrong....they are sooo worth it!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() |

There is no way those are the ones I had.

As neat as they look, I agree since I have a set on my '69, but I had heard they kill horsepower...anyone have any details or experience on that?
