$35K seems like a good estimate. Might take a little while to find the right guy to appreciate it and pay the money. Though big cars aren't as popular, its hard to beat the color and condition. Got pics?

That car looks like its been painted to me which would take away the survivor status to me. Wrong stripe also.

$35K seems high to me, as is isn't an SS427 or 4 speed. The paint looks way too glossy to be original, but if it is I would say this car is more around $25K.

[/ QUOTE ] The pic shows a more shiny finish than it actually is. The paint shows the typical flaws that you would see on an original car. I also paint gauged it and while I don't recall the numbers I got, they were in line with my original Hemi Challenger and some of the other known survivors I have had in this shop. MB |

It's a tape stripe that can easily be removed. But the paint is original. I am curious how you can tell by the photo that the car has been painted ![]() MB |

I am curious how you can tell by the photo that the car has been painted ![]() MB [/ QUOTE ]Im a painter by trade and have been in the body buisness for over 25 years and have had at least 20 survivor cars including a few black ones and ive never seen one that glossy. Now maybe it is, I would have to see it in person to really look at the orange peel and other notes that I have from over the years but its just my opinion that its not original paint. Btw That stripe might not be as easy as you think to get off. I removed a tape stripe from one of my original paint cars and it left a mark from where it was. Buffed it and it wont come out. Also not trying to be picky but sometime in this world were everybodys cars are low mileage. What happened to the T3 headlamps? 25k miles they should be there. Anyway it looks like a nice car to buy if you want it. I think 35 is high also myself. What kind of money is he asking if you dont mind mike? ![]()
