That thing dwarfs a PSI Screw unit, I could not imagine the Parasitic loss just to turn that thing, a 14-71 hi helix retro takes a good 400hp to turn at RPM.

The car normally runs in local 10.5 competition and is a high 7 second car with a smaller "standard" size blower. I forgot where they found that giant blower but they don't run with it in the shoot-outs.

It was my understanding that the blower came off a diesel locomotive application, but again, I gathered that information off the internet.

I guess you mean 'hideous'. I guess it is but it got your attention, didn't it. It was never meant to be taken serious just something to mess around with for photos. Mike was driving this car in 10.5 competition back when I was racing in Drag Radial and the car was very fast and competitive, winning many races. He's a heck of a driver and I was always impressed by the preventive maintenance they practiced with this car. Really had their act together.

Hey Rob, I thought you might recognize Ozark Int. Raceway in that video. I guess that's you home track? That's where I used to race in their summer Shootout series. We'd bring down a whole bunch of St. Louis Shoot-Out style cars. 10.5 Limited, 10.5 Outlaw, and my favorite, Drag Radial. Me and my buddies love that track down there and I like to consider Ozark my "home" track even though Gateway is only 1/2 hour from my house compared to the 3 hour drive to get to Ozark. Sometimes, I'd even like to see the SCR go back to Rogersville like in the old days. I've heard the Chance family has purchased the track and are gonna spend a lot of money on it.
