Wasn't meant to be Funny. Seems thats where this show has been heading. Just calling it as i see it, different strokes for different folks. I recall years ago that this show was to be all about Supercars of the Past and maybe some more present. Certainly not Pro touring cars and the Unusual circus cars. Didn't think i had to travel half way cross the country to see what i can go to the local book stand and thumb through the Latest HOT ROD mag and find. Just calling it as i see it. This is just MY OPINION and iam sure there are alot of fine people on this board that want to see this stuff and who am i to Judge.

Brian..I have brought a Pro-Touring car to the Reunion maybe twice ? When I did it was because the car was already in the midwest. I have also brought ZL1,the 67 Pace car, The SuperSnake, a Trans Am convert but you get bugged because I bring a car type you don't like. I have worked my ass off trying to moderate guys like you and figured bringing one of my non Supercars once in awhile wouldn't bother anyone and would be OK. Consider it a job perk if you want. You have seen how many other Pro-Touring cars at the Reunion ? I also ran a rental car down the strip at the reunion so I guess that must have really bugged you also. For those of you reading this that haven't actually been to the reunion, that is about the extent of the Pro-Touring car showings.

I don't know anything about this latest "auto drama"...but, I do know that for me the hobby is all about the people!!! The cars are just an excuse to get together with folks you enjoy spending time with...it's just that simple. I don't care if someone has a COPO or 6 cyl. granny as long as they are genuine and respectful of others.

People first..Cars second!!!

A great Supercar show would consist of good people, plenty of Awesome Supercars & or other great Muscle Cars filling the venue such as other members cars included. This seems to be a great way for all enthusiasts to get together without having the we are better then you so you can never come attitude. Charlie's alway's done good & it's all for fun in my opinion..

To clear things up a tad, Brian was not banned, just a request by him to remove the SCW banner and Forum catagory from our site. As always, his contributions are always welcome.

I have always felt very highly of the guys at the Supercar Workshop and will continue to regardless of their being sponsors or not.
They have always been an asset to all at this site and I also hope they continue to give their input.
....I still refer them to those who want the best restoration in the country to their supercars.

Why can't we have a West Coast show at Charley's house? Bob puts it together, Bruce takes pictures, Charley gets to host and the rest of us can bring our cars and and drink his beer.

It is and always has been about the people NOT the cars. I don't think I would even notice if there were no cars at the reunion........ok, maybe a little. The point is, ALL of my friends today are fellow car enthusiasts and most have come through this site. I very much enjoy seeing some of the other iron show up at the reunion and especially at the drag races. One of Annie's most enjoyable times was racing her Nova and that included the run against Charley's pace car with the top down and the flags waving. Great day. In that same breath I think most of us can honestly say we wait is suspense to see what the SCW guys are going to unload from the trailer and the best are when they are cars that are under construction. I think everyone would agree that they enjoy those times especially when the wheels almost came off Tommy K's unfinished car when we moved it for a photo shoot. Classic moment!

The point is, not all of us agree with or like everyone on the board but have to admit that virtually everyone here with rare exception brings something to the board. I think we all need to spend na little more time before hitting the keyboard and take a deep breath before stating things that are either hard to take back or should have just been kept to ourselves.

There is plenty of fighting going on oversees for things we stand for. Lets all try a little harder to get along on this side of the fence and not fight over what most would consider to be petty things in the whole scheme of things. Everyone has a personality, thank God and we all need to just relax a little and not get so bent out of shape all the time. I want nothing more than to see the sYc the same it was several years ago when the worst thing that was said on a thread was someone upset with themselves for not being the one to find the latest barn find. Without VetteFest and some other shows around anymore it is now more important than ever to have a great show at the SCR reunion with ALL......the past participants and many new ones.

After spending another week with Kwhizz and having some nice talks, I agree with him. There are WAY more important things in this life than squabling over small things and some of those important things can never be returned or replaced. Think about it guys...........
