I had the opportunity to drive the base and SS models at Bondurant in Phoenix in mid January. We drove 6 speed as well as automatic versions of both cars. The base seemed just like a car. I liked the SS and have a convertible on order. I like the idea of a drop top that is more roomy and comfortable with good performance as an alternative to my c6. The performance was good, but if I were goin racin for pink slips I would take my c6. After testing the camaros Bob Bondurant took each of us on hot laps in the ZR1. Now that is a performance car!!!!! I guess I am getting old, but I preferred the automatic over the 6 speed.
