The southern Illinois deviation to the word is 'ickempucky'. My Dad used that term to describe some kind of substance they used at the implement dealer where he worked when I was a little punk (like Frankie). It was a cross between a lubricant and adhesive.
I don't recall what it was used for but my Mother hated the stuff. Stunk to high heaven and was impossible to get out of clothes.
