I took the left fender off to repair the dog leg and found what appears to be the numbers 269 behind it. Any idea what this would mean?

After a little more investigating over on the Team Chevelle site, the 269 is a partial number of my sequence number on the trim tag.

Kurt

Correct! Looking good! Did you happen to see the NOS part number tag underneath the drivers side fender. Hopefully its still there.

Dan.

No I didn't. I did see the D.Vasic part number on the eyebrow trim though.

Yes, I label all of my own personal parts... so I do not mix them up with other same exact parts I have. Plus if I were to sent these parts out for resto, better chance of getting my parts back.

I just talked with my cousin who is a few years older than me. He said he remembers back in the 70's a '69 SS post sedan at a dealer in the Volo IL area that was a 375 HP car. He had never seen one before. The dealer had paperwork with the car and they wanted a lot of money for it. I was just talking to Dan V. and he said he knows the car. Does anyone else?

Tony had this one in the '80's. Sold it in Illinois. It had a hard life after that. We bought it back in the '90's, minus engine, trans, and paperwork. Installed a 350HP and trans. I sold it again out of state in the late '90's, or 2000. Don't know where it is now.
