SOLD my 1969 SS396 300 Deluxe Post Sedan

When I purchased the car from Dan, it had carpeting in it. I bought a reproduction rubber floor for it from ACC. Well, when I decided to change shifters (from Hurst Comp. Plus to Ram Rod), the hole location is in a different spot. Knowing that, I purchased a used rubber floor from a guy in Ohio at the Chevelle car show. I took a chance hoping the hole that the previous owner's cut would be close to where I need it for the Ram Rod. Saturday I got the rubber floor out and set it in the car.....it looks like it's going to work. Now I have to heat the garage up, put a space heater in the car and use a heat gun to get the floor to lay down the best that I can......I was hoping I didn't ever have to do that again 'cause it SUCKS......but such not the case.

I'll probably never put a original one in my car. IF.....IF I did, you're right Dan, I would NEVER cut it.

My big concern now is getting it to lay down <span style="font-style: italic">and</span> then see how far forward I can put the bench seat without it hitting the shifter. It's not a big deal for me if it won't go all the way forward but I may have to use a pillow for my wife to get her closer to the pedals....or wood blocks on the pedals! [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/[/img]

I had a bench seat in my '68 Nova with a Super Street Shifter and she had to use a pillow for that car in order to reach the pedals.
