My Cortez Silver 1972 Chevelle SS that was sold new @ Fencl-Tufo Chevrolet.
Brought it home on this day in Feb.1980 after paying $800 for it.Only 33K miles,but the body was worse. Restored it,drove the snot out of it,then sold it years later at ChevyVetteFest at Arlington Park racetrack in Fall 84. ..Man that car was fun! ![]() |

This sweet thing right here.... a '77 Vette.
I mean 1977 Chevette. Not the regular ol' puny 1.4L 4-cylinder, but the RALLY Chevette. It was 1.6L of pure raw power. I had the cheap $20 power booster amp for the radio, speakers tossed in the hatch, genuine imitation fuzzy sheepskin seat covers, and real 4-lug Cragar S/S rims with 50-series tires in the back and 60-series in the front. ![]() After a couple years of that excitement, I bought my first Nova, and never looked back. 1972 Nova 4-door ![]() Moved on to a '72 Nova 2-door ![]() ... and then some mid 70's Camaros, more Novas, a truck, Suburbans...
