If someone finds one at a MerCruiser dealer, please post the MerCruiser part number! My guy said he couldn't help w/o a p/n or specific application (other than BBC).

I meant the MerCruiser p/n. They evidently don't use the GM p/n; that would make it too easy!

When ordering, It will have to be in the HP series for Mercruiser, probably in a group 36- all merc parts are in a group area first, I tried looking for some of my old books or fish, but I think they were all lost in the fire. I do know for a fact it will be correct application for a 1989 HP465 so if you order a oil cap for that application, that will be the replacement. now if you get a new one Im not sure what it will be as far as appearance, But I know just a few years ago they were still the correct ones.
