Hey Frank,
Thanks for the info. What do you mean by the lower hole? Also do you mean a J shaped cut-out in the metal? Out of curiosity, what is the purpose of the cut-out? Do you know if the dimensions are the same? ie do they interchange? I have a set like the ones KP had on ebay, and a guy told me they were incorrect for b/b. I was thinking maybe the change was made in the model year, so maybe that was the discrepancy. I do know that I had mine on my b/b for 200 miles, and that everything aligned. When I re-installed my engine, I went with the aftermarket interlocking ones, and they have caused my engine to be about 1/8" lower, and now I have to remove the crank pulley to get the belts on. Fortunately the belts and pulley do not hit the crossmember. Thanks again, and Go Steelers!!! (or as we pronounce it in Pittsburgh, Go Stiilers!) |

The "J" shape cut out is in the rubber, not the metal. I will try to post pics tomorrow.

if you look at the other side of the mounts ( that faces the block ) the SMALL BLOCK mounts have a ''L'' shape formed into the metal, while the BIG block mounts have a '' T'' shape.....IMHO.......

Well, thanks for the info. I guess my NOS "big block" mounts are really small block.
