That's really frightening when a dealer uses a quote from "Sports Car Market" as documentation to prove he has a real, original engine, cross-ram JL-8 Z/28.

Do bidders actually believe this stuff?

[/ QUOTE ] I seem to remember this dealer selling a red 1967 corvette 435hp car with an AO smith body. I told him that in 1967 there were no BB cars produced with AO smith bodies as they were all built in St Louis. He was very rude in his reply, so I hope that he gets burned at some point.

What you don't see is another story board that shows copies of all the real paperwork on the car. I owned it a few years ago. It was ordered new by automotive writer Dave Emanuel. Neat car but never had a crossram till a couple years ago. It was discussed here last year when the seller had to pay Barret fees because the buyer backed out based on the sellers claim that it had a dealer installed crossram. This year they don't make that claim.
