It took me exactly 18 minutes to remove the back seat and re-install it. That included retrieving my coat with the keys in the pocket. It helps knowing where all the screws and bolts are.

Having just sat in the back of Joe's car,i can tell you there isn't another 69 Nova on the planet that has nicer all original interior. I mean it's almost hard to believe the carpet isn't aftermarket. It shows you how a well these keep if you take care of them.
It's a WR plant build, when I asked him if he ever found an interior sheet his response was "I never have taken the seats or carpet out to look for one"- which might allude to why he had it flatbedded home! ![]() |

For those that don't know HM was arguably THE hi po chevy dealer for the L.A metro area during that time. I hope Joe can post pics of his car there on the front line waiting for him-you should see some of the other iron sitting next to it. |

[/ QUOTE ] Actually Mark, Bruce did a Member's Rides Feature a couple months ago. Check it out here - '69 Novajoe Feature And thanks again to all you guys for the comments and suggestions. Believe me, I've tried to get that back seat out and it just won't budge!! The tow truck driver even tried to pull it from the BACK of the bottom cushion until I about had a heart-attack when I heard the springs starting to "complain" ![]() ![]() Joe C.

Believe me, I've tried to get that back seat out and it just won't budge!! [/ QUOTE ] There are some cars where it does seem virtually impossible to get that bottom cushion out. I had an EXTREMELY difficult time getting it out of my Chevelle, and when I finally did, I filed down the brackets on the floor so that I would never have that much trouble again. It can be a huge help to have someone else pushing back on that bottom cushion while you look under the lower edge of the cushion to see the position of the seat frame in relation to the bracket it's hooked into ![]() ![]() Outstanding car, Joe, and kudos to you for taking such great care of it all these years ![]()
