but please tell me how are where called the headlights?

Was there a special option for 396 SS only?

And does it really functional or is it more show & shine?
I think the light power are not so good, or isn´t it?

They are hideaway headlights... part of the RS option available on any 69 Camaro... vaccuum operated doors swing open to expose the headlights when the switch is pulled (or at least they are SUPPOSED to) the doors also have slits in them that lets some light shine through if the doors decide they don't want to open. Ask me how I know...
