I stripped down the upper half of the firewall due to the large number of runs, looking for the hidden vin, there is none below the heaterbox (comments on that?) FYI: Currently working on a 05A LOS 69 Camaro, also no 2nd. vin# @ blower motor hole. I think this is somewhat common on LOS Camaro's ![]() Nice work ![]() ![]() Cold Mike ![]() |

My JL8 car is an 04A Van Nuys car and I don't recall finding the VIN by the heater either so I wouldn't worry about it.

The G2 at the end of the axle stamp denotes 2nd shift at the gear plant.

Thanks wasn't sure the significance of the "2". Van, I sent you a pm with my email address, it would be great to get some good original photos. I have a unmolested plain jane car to reference but it has the interior and eng out of it. Does anyone have a pic of the driveshaft paint stripes? thanks

On my Norwood Car the VIN is behind the heater box assembly stamped on the firewall. MM ![]() |
