Charley, that is awesome. Thanks for taking the time to share all of this information.

The site looks great and the information is, well...informative!

Cant wait to see this car in person for the "homecoming" with Norman in November at MCACN!

Bashton

So they really did have factory screw-in studs and pushrod guide plates! That's something I've always wondered about. I know many people don't think Camaros were even built after 1969, but I think the 1970 Z-28 is undoubtedly the best Z-28 ever built. Maybe even the best "factory-built" Camaro of the era. Those 67-69 302 CID Z's just lack the torque of that wonderful LT-1. That LT-1 was one of Zora's babies and he loved it as such. So, we have the best, original example of the best Camaro, IMHO, ever built. And it's a Rally Sport! I'm insanely jealous.

Bob, I would hope that the Chicago media is alerted to the story, homecoming etc etc.

Would help the gate for the show ?????????

You better believe it! A "reunion" is planned! Check out the MCACN website for a Press Release on Charley's car.

This incredible Z will be the very first car that will be scrutinized for Vintage Certification at the new show.
