[ QUOTE ]
. [/ QUOTE ] I have a photo of another hinge I have in my photos with this blue paint mark. Anyone ever see this on a first generation Camaro ? I am assuming it was a vendor thing and not done on the line. ![]() Or was it a line thing an inspector did after the hood was adjusted. Neat thread, I don't think your boring anyone yet Charley. The blue paint mark on the pass side is a common item on the second gen hood hinge. I havent seen them on the driver's side though.

Mine has the identical paint marks on both sides.
![]() ![]() You can see that the paint mark was applied with the hood open, then after closing the hood, the paint ran down the hinge. Paul

The blue dripped paint flow could also have come from when the manufacturer made them and hung them upside down.
Does anyone have a definitive explanation of whether these were an assembly line or a manufacturer's inspection mark??? |
