Too Cool Rich!
For those who don't speak Mopar, the SE was the luxury option package that could be ordered on the R/T or as its own model. (Kind of like a Rally Sport/Super Sport- the combination of the highest trim option and the highest performance option) In 1969 Dodge would not build an R/T-SE with a hemi but in 1970 they lifted the restriction but didn't advertise the fact, so very few of the 112 Hemi R/T's had the SE package - about 16 or so. With the SE A-47 package you got a real leather interior and different door interior panels and bunch of other add-ons that altered the interior's appearance from the standard Charger R/T interior. In addition, there were only three leather interior colors available: tan, green and charcoal (a metallic black). FYI: Here is the breakdown of the production colors that I know of for the 16 Hemi R/T-SE Chargers known to have been produced: 1970 HEMI CHARGER R/T-SE with Automatic trans: tan w/ tan interior black w/ charcoal interior orange w/ charcoal interior yellow w/ charcoal interior green w/ green interior blue w/ charcoal interior (Canadian car) 1970 HEMI CHARGER R/T-SE with four speed: red w/ charcoal interior (mine) orange w/ tan interior orange w/ charcoal interior orange w/ charcoal interior dark green w/ charcoal interior green w/ tan interior limelight w/ charcoal interior yellow w/ charcoal interior yellow w/ tan interior tan w/ tan interior |
