Default Re: Ryan Newman Nextelcup road car and 962 Group C

T CL Van!!!

962's and especially so Kremer prepared units have always been my favourite Sportscars since they replaced the 956's and I never missed the WSC races they ran at Mosport and Montreal here in Canada..

As I mentioned to you a couple years back, I was fortunate to meet many drivers in those days...Bell, Stuck, Beloff, Ickx to name a few also K. Rosberg in 1990 when he debuted the 905 Peugeot in Montreal and the race ended early when the 962's ground effects were sucking the manhole covers off the track surface!.

The Kremer team treated me to some personal and up close time w/ the cars at the Mosport Group C race in '85...sadly the weekend ended w/ Winklehock's accident..

I had Canadian Porsche racer and ex 962 pilot Ludwig Heimrath Sr. here in my office a year or so back and we had a nice chat about the old days, cars and drivers.. He remains active in his 70's and still got bigger balls behind the wheel than most guys!.

I was fortunate to go for a rip in a real Kremer 935 once too...nobody I know ever seems to understand?.

Best to you w/ the sale of this 962...do you still have the Bob Akin/Coca Cola car too?.
