Hi Jim,
Your air cleaner assembly was released for the never built 71 LS6 Chevelle. It superceded the 1970 6485235 cowl air cleaner assembly and was sold over the counter through GM dealers till August 1 1986 when it was discontinued. Hope this helps. Chris
