SYC Members,
I'd like to thank everyone who has contributed over the past 2-3 years to the completion of my 68 Camaro, 9737 COPO, non converted car. The car hit the front cover of the March - Muscle Car Enthusiast Magazine. The uniqueness of these special cars is the fact that six of the seventy planned 1968 Yenko Camaro cars never made the conversion, thus these final six were ultimately made available to the public at the end of the 1968 production thru Yenko Chevrolet as special hi-performace cars. We believe the final six non- converted cars were 5 Corvette Bronze and 1 Rallye Green. The excellent detective work that was done 3-4 years ago by the late Tom Billigan, Joe Barr, Brian Henderson, Chuck Huber and a few others have uncovered another interesting piece of history with Yenko and these supercars. The article tells the story of the ownership and the race history back in the day. As with most supercars - painstaking time and effort went into restoring this car back to original condition. Again this could not have been done without the support of the all the car enthusiast and members of sites like SYC, Camaro.Net, Chevelle.Net and Detriot Horsepower. Thanks again for making it possible. Thanks, Ed Montini ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
